The best ceramic shampoo for heavy degreasing
You will have heard of McLaren from its racing and automotive performance car division; but did you know that it also covers car cleaning products, too? This 500ml bottle of Ceramic Wash shampoo doesn’t come with a huge McLaren-esque price tag, either. It can be bought for under £10 and I was naturally very curious to try it out.
We applied this shampoo to a filthy Vauxhall Corsa with layers of dirt and grime covered over it. The result was pretty spectacular; without even using pre-wash or snow foam, this stuff ridded the dirt like it was dust. The power of it, along with my wash mitt, meant the car was looking amazingly clean by the time we were finished.
In terms of efficiency, I would class it as pretty average. According to the instructions, you can get between 10-15 washes out of the McLaren shampoo, so while it’s not the most efficient product in the world, it’s also not the most consumption-heavy.
Overall, if you’re looking for something different from the norm – and something that’ll heavily degrease your car while also adding a mild layer of protection, this is the shampoo to opt for. I simply cannot ignore how good value for money it is, either.
